Privacy Policy
Last updated July 13, 2026 · Applies to WaterTracker, VitaminTracker, WeightTracker, and HabitTracker
Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how WaterTracker, VitaminTracker, WeightTracker, and/or HabitTracker ("the App") handles information. The App is built to work entirely on-device — there is no server, and no personal data is collected, sold, or shared with anyone.
Summary
- All data (water intake, vitamin logs, nutrient logs, presets, weight logs, goals, targets, reports, settings, etc.) is stored locally on-device. It is never transmitted anywhere or seen by anyone outside the App.
- No analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are used.
- No account, sign-in, or email address is required to use the App.
- Apple Health integration is optional, controlled entirely by the user, and data only moves between the App and Apple Health on-device.
Information Collected
No information is collected. The App has no servers, and does not transmit any data, device identifiers, or usage information anywhere.
All data created in the App — water/vitamin/nutrient log entries, vitamins/presets, habits, weight entries, weight goals, daily targets, target history, report data, etc. — is stored locally using Apple's on-device storage mechanisms (including shared App Group storage used to power widgets and the Apple Watch app, described below).
Apple Health
The App can optionally integrate with Apple Health:
- Writing: If the relevant "Log to Apple Health" setting is enabled, each entry logged in the App is saved to Apple Health as the relevant sample. Deleting an entry also removes the corresponding Apple Health sample.
- Reading: If the relevant "Read from Apple Health" setting is enabled, nutrient or fitness entries logged by other apps or devices can be displayed in the App's various screens (Home, Timeline, Reports) or can be used as part of a habit's completion criteria, marked as read-only and never double-counted against entries made in the App where relevant.
Both permissions are off by default until granted, can be turned off at any time in Settings or in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Health, and all HealthKit data stays on-device — the App never uploads it anywhere. HealthKit data is not used for advertising or any purpose other than displaying it back within the App.
Notifications
If notifications are enabled, they are scheduled and delivered entirely on-device using Apple's local notification system. There is no server to send other notifications from, and users have all control over notifications.
Widgets and Apple Watch
The App uses an App Group (shared on-device container) to share data between the main app, its widgets, and the Apple Watch companion app. This data exchange happens only between the App, widget, and watch components on-device, via Apple's frameworks (App Groups and WatchConnectivity) — it never leaves the device ecosystem or passes through any server.
Integration with HabitTracker
For users who also have HabitTracker installed, WaterTracker and VitaminTracker can share information about whether the daily hydration target has been hit, or scheduled vitamin doses have been logged, so HabitTracker can automatically mark a connected habit as complete. This works the same way as the Apple Health integration described above: data is exchanged on-device, through a shared App Group container, and never passes through any server or third party. This integration is optional and only relevant when both apps are installed.
Data Export and Import
The App allows logs, presets, and PDF reports to be exported as files (e.g., CSV, PDF) for backup or transfer between devices. These exports are created and shared entirely under the user's control using the standard iOS share sheet — for example, by AirDrop, Files, email, or any destination chosen. Exported files are not accessible to anyone else unless sent by the user.
Data Deletion
Data can be deleted at any time from Settings → Delete Data, including any logs, presets/vitamins/habits, target history, or everything at once. Because all data lives only on-device, deleting it in the App permanently removes it, with no copy retained anywhere, unless a back-up has been stored elsewhere by the user (in the form of an exported CSV or PDF file).
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because no information is collected from any user. The App is not directed at children. Please follow your relevant region's age restrictions/guidelines when using the App, and ensure parental discretion and guidance is used if required.
Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only frameworks used for data sharing are Apple's own HealthKit, WidgetKit, and WatchConnectivity, along with the on-device App Group sharing used for the HabitTracker integration described above — all of which operate entirely on-device.
Changes to This Policy
If this Privacy Policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Since the App does not collect contact information, periodic review of this page is encouraged.
